Cardinal Ritter Celebrates Winter Sports Award Winners

Cardinal Ritter proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of its student-athletes during the winter sports season, honoring excellence in performance, leadership, and academics across all programs.

In Girls Swimming & Diving, Yelitza Reyes earned MVP honors after a strong season in the pool, while Danica Treminio was recognized for her Mental Attitude. Bella Drake had an exceptional year, earning Most Improved, Scholar Athlete, and 4-Year Varsity honors. The team also celebrated Regional Qualifier Mark Liston, and Academic All-Conference honorees Bella Drake, Mark Harrison, Mark Liston, and Jose Bustamante Lopez.

For Boys Swimming & Diving, Mark Liston was named MVP, with Jose Bustamante Lopez earning Mental Attitude and Scholar Athlete honors. Mark Harrison was recognized as Most Improved. Both Liston and Bustamante Lopez were also honored as 4-Year Varsity athletes.

The Boys Basketball team saw Devin Bolden named MVP, while Rylan Coleman earned Most Improved and Anthony Anuka received the Mental Attitude award. Andrew Gerhart was named Scholar Athlete, and Cheick Wade was recognized as a 4-Year Varsity player. Bolden and Wade also earned All-Conference honors and All City, while Gerhart and Thomas McDowell were named Academic All-Conference.

In Girls Basketball, Lilly Butler and Owen Finke were both named MVPs following standout seasons. Harpar Finke earned Most Improved, Jenni Carlos received the Mental Attitude award, and Sawyer Finke was named Scholar Athlete. Macie Dill and Sawyer Finke were recognized as 4-Year Varsity athletes. Academic All-Conference honors went to Jenni Carlos, Macie Dill, Berkley Finke, and Sawyer Finke.

The Cheerleading program was led by MVP Margaret Bloomer, who also earned 4-Year Varsity honors. Cameron Dillard was named Most Improved and Scholar Athlete, while Aubrey Yanez earned the Mental Attitude award. Academic All-Conference honors went to Yanez, Bloomer, and Dillard.

In Wrestling, Jocelyn Flores Gaspar earned Most Improved and Scholar Athlete honors on the girls side, while Jonathan Galan was named Boys MVP and also recognized as a 4-Year Varsity athlete. Chuy Quiroz earned Most Improved, and Dennis Risby received the Mental Attitude award. Miles Nnaji was recognized as a Regional Qualifier.

The Bowling team was highlighted by MVP Nicholas Buell, who also earned Scholar Athlete honors. Jayden Ibanez-Diaz and Mary Grace Hawkins were both named Most Improved, while Roselyn Mestas earned the Mental Attitude award.

Several student-athletes were also recognized for their long-term dedication and multi-sport success. Sawyer Finke, Jose Bustamante Lopez, Bella Drake, and Mark Liston each earned the prestigious recognition of 8 Varsity Letters across multiple sports.
